Ports have progressively evolved from functioning as simple handling sites to operating as processing units handling complex logistics services. Terex® Fuchs recognised this trend early on and now offers highly flexible and customised solutions across a range of mobile and stationary material handlers, delivering appropriate equipment to port logisticians. Massive grabs, large work radii even at full load and equally powerful, swift and precise hydraulics make record loading and unloading times possible. The king-size powerhouses are, thus, suited to deployment across diverse applications in port logistics, constituting an optimal link between ship, road transport, train, conveyor belt and storage facility – in accordance with the user’s requirements.

Always on top – even waterside

Thanks to the lifting panoramic cab that – depending on the model – can be elevated to a height of 7.20 metres, the operator is able to continuously and to reliably monitor his/her work surroundings. A definite plus for port deployment is offered by the model-dependent cranked boom that makes it possible to carry out loading and unloading procedures from and into holds directly beneath sheer sidings.
